Let's play catch-up!

I haven't posted or even visited my blog in over 6 weeks! I've been too sick. So, it's time to play catch up. . . I was still typing but not putting it on here, so I will post what I've been going through these past 6 weeks, from today backwards:

Thursday, July 1

Still sick. After a horrendous Monday in which I threw-up every half hour for five hours straight, I called my OB's office and they prescribed me suppositories. While I hate using them, I have been better!

I am 14 weeks on Saturday, and my stomach is definitely there! Hopefully I am feeling better next week for packing and moving.

Thursday, June 17

I have continued the Zofran, and throw-up about every evening now, which is better. Except I threw-up last night as we were going in to the restaurant for our third anniversary dinner! I was also sick on out first anniversary, so I joked that I was just keeping the tradition. The food was awesome (blackened salmon and fettuccini alfredo), and I did something I never do when eating out: finished all the food on my plate!

Wednesday, June 7

I got to hear my baby's heartbeat on Monday! It was slightly marred by the fact that the Dr. told me 10 weeks was too soon to hear it, so I had to beg him to do it. It makes the sickness more worth it, and the baby seem more real! I really dislike this Dr. though. He also refused to do another ultrasound before 20 weeks because he doesn't want to guess the gender any earlier. I am glad I am moving next month so I will have an opportunity to be rid of him. I lost 4 pounds and my heartrate was higher than my normal but still normal. I got a prescription for Zofran as well, and have only thrown up once so far on it, which is an improvement.

Wednesday, June 2

I have started to feel better as long as I am nibbling on something throughout the day, and I have gained about a pound in the past two weeks which is progress since I lost a couple from being sick. And I have stopped taking the nausea medicine as I threw it up every time the past few days.

It is looking like we are going to move in with my grandpa in 4-6 weeks. He cannot take care of his big house and property by himself, and he is having a hard time remembering his medicine and appointments, as well as the fact that he can't drive (blind in one eye). I want to help out my family, and we both want to be closer to our families before we have our baby. It will mean I have to organize a whole new student teaching position, but I really want to help out my family. Also, he will be moving to a smaller place before we have the baby, so that is good. Today I am going to stay with my grandpa for a couple of days because he needs eyedrops 4 times a day through Friday. Hopefully I will be feeling better while there.

Monday, May 31

I've been very sick for the past three weeks, so that has been no fun. I'm 9+2 today so hopefully it only lasts a couple more weeks!

. . . So, I was sick a lot, I tried many different types of medication, and I'm moving soon. I think that about sums it up.
